I kept it in all season (<10 g a fat a day diet...sucked) and then got it out after cc season was over. I was back to swimming about a week later (when the glue fell off) and running pretty soon there after. You're a much stronger and more practiced athlete than I was at the time (or am now); so, you should have a great recovery. I still really can't eat much fat even now that it's out though.
